Life - Now In Hampshire

It's been a hectic past few weeks, and therefore a lack of updates and not much progress has happened.

To fulfill my role in a new job, we have had to relocate from Norfolk down to Hampshire. Once everything is sorted and the garage/workshop is setup, we'll get back onto the SV project. In the mean time, there are some photos of developments from the past few weeks to catch up on.

SNOBIKE Prototype Testing

You've seen the photos and we've had the snow. Here's a short film of Chris Walford and myself testing the prototype. Works a treat!

Thanks to Chris for the editing and the clouds for the snow!

Lotus in Tape

The first tape drawing of 2012, (hopefully I'll get round to doing a few more this year). The largest "arty" one that I've done so far, thought I've got bigger ones lined up. Not created for anyone, so for sale at the right price, other commissions available.

Can you guess who it is?

Preparing for Winter - SNOBIKE

Preperations for winter came early this year as we try to be one step ahead of the snowfall. Needless to say, the snow has yet to come.

The basic concept of this is; one BMX + two Ski's & a little bit of Moto-R Design fabrication = one awesome SNOBIKE.

We need two things for this to work - Snow (we rarely get sufficient snowfall here)
Hills (this is the flattest part of the UK)

If neither come to us, we will have to go find them to test this out.

Just Playing Around With Black Tape . . .

I've finally got round to playing around with some tape we use in the design studio to create some unique pieces of art. This is the first of a series of pieces I plan to do in the future, around automotive and motorcycle subjects which take my interest.

The first in the series, entitled "Alfisti"  is a tape drawing of the sexy Alfa Romeo grill and front end. The piece is 600mm x 600mm, black tape on white canvas.

These unique tape drawing artworks are available to buy, just get in contact.

Pimping A DH Mountainbike Frame

Spent Saturday morning making some new pivots for a Cortina DH frame. The old ones were nasty, worn and could be simplified, so I got to work on some hollow Stainless versions.

The frame broken down into all its parts. Took the opportunity to anodise all the linkage plates whilst everything was dismantled. Can't decide on what colour to powdercoat the frame though - red bull dark blue or clean and simple white . . .

I really love the technical look of this frame with its floating shock linkages. Its a 10 year old design but still offers a really smooth ride. Now its time to test it on some downhill trails at Fort William in a couple of weekends time!
