SV650 - Bodywork Refinement

It's been an age since the last update, but there's not really been a great deal to show. Progress has been happening, with work going on at least every other day, mainly in refining the bodywork and preparing the final molds.

Here's some photos of the seat and tail unit now mounted onto boards with flanges for molding. Taking some time above to mark out where the edge of the final piece is to give a guide for cutting when they pop out the mold. Below is the tail unit and we have also prepared the tank cover. Just needs a final rub down with 2500 grit wet and dry and then they can be waxed!

Much more exciting is the arrival of a new exhaust silencer for the bike. The Akrapovic that was previosuly fitted had a fixed link pipe and looked a bit on the large size for the bike, so having spent a while looking for a smaller, more suitable carbon Akrapovic can, we finally opted to go for an Arrow exhaust silencer,

Equally as beautiful in its manufacture, it's physically smaller and sits on the bike much nicer. There's also a spring mounted detachable linkpipe, so it gives options for positioning with a new link pipe.
